A LOVE POEM

I woke up today in a bit of a weird space. I was feeling down, then I realized I’ve come a long way, after going through a lot i decided to write myself a love letter. Instead of returning to a mood, I wanted to keep in the right direction. Never forget to appreciate your progress and journey, now ….It’s your turn 😊. Write yourself a love letter.

If I am being honest
I haven't being myself in a while
I forgot who I was 
I lost my heartbeat and my smile
That's normal when you go through tough things
There is a lot I keep to myself
The foolish ego and pride
Underneath all the B.s is this beautiful woman inside
Optimism and praise falls from the crescent of her lips
I believe I can change the feeling 
in any room with just a touch of my finger tips
Sometimes I work to hard
I can't lie I need a vacation
I'm a change bringer and a dream chaser
A melody maker
A shower singer
I spend to much time on some things
I just want them to be perfect
I get scared sometimes
Of the shining in my potential
I got me to live upto
Sometimes it's like chess on a mental
I drink coffee some mornings 
But I swear I like tea better
I can cook till the house smells like culture
And crotchet a bead in cold weather
I don't know where I learnt some of this things
It's been that way since I was a child
I'm the girl to hold you down 
I have been... this me since forever
I'm never gonna switch up
I am music
I am warmth
I am love
I am ...
